Context
Qubic is a concept blog dedicated to quantum physics, new technologies and the science of the future. The aim was to create a space for educational content that doesn’t look like a typical science blog but like a modern digital publication – engaging, distinctive and relatable for readers fascinated by technology, discovery and experimentation.
Challenge
Quantum physics can easily come across as insular, difficult and reserved for a small circle of specialists. The challenge was to design a site that would keep its scientific, futuristic character while being approachable, intuitive and visually appealing. The blog had to spark curiosity, guide readers through the content and encourage exploration – without the weight of an academic journal.
Strategy
The visual direction was built on the contrast between a dark, almost laboratory-like background and a fresh, luminous green that brings energy, lightness and a technological accent. The large typographic logotype makes a strong first impression, while subtle lines and constellation-like details reference the world of particles, connections and invisible structures. The layout was designed in modules: categories, featured posts, an author section and article lists create a rhythm that organises the content and lets users move freely between topics. The whole combines a futuristic character with a softer, more human layer of photography, making science feel closer and less intimidating.
Outcome
The result is a modern, distinctive and immersive blog that gives quantum physics a more accessible, contemporary visual language. Qubic doesn’t look like a standard educational publication – it works more like a digital space for discovery: dark, precise and technological, but lifted by a fresh colour and a friendly content structure. The design reinforces the blog’s expert character, builds curiosity around a difficult subject and creates an experience that keeps readers reading.
