How much does a professional website cost in 2026?

Websites

Let’s start with the question most businesses ask at the wrong moment. Not ‘how much does a website cost?’ — but ‘how much is a website that genuinely works worth to my business?’

Because once you know what you want to achieve, the conversation about price becomes a conversation about investment. Not about who’ll do it cheapest.

In 2026, a simple business website starts at around PLN 3–8k net. Polished sites with a bespoke design and a considered strategy cost PLN 8–20k net. Premium projects, online shops and sites with advanced functionality range from fifteen-odd to several tens of thousands. That’s a wide range. And in a moment I’ll explain why that isn’t a problem with the industry. It’s a problem with the question.

A website isn’t a product. It’s a set of decisions.

When someone says ‘I need a website’, they could mean five completely different things. A digital business card with an address and opening hours. A sales tool meant to replace a salesperson. A site that builds an expert brand in the premium segment. A shop handling hundreds of products, payments and logistics. Or a landing page for a specific ad campaign, complete with a countdown timer and a form.

It’s a bit like asking ‘how much does a car cost?’. A Fiat and a Ferrari both have four wheels, an engine and a steering wheel. The rest gets settled in the showroom, depending on what you really need.

Four things shape the price of a website: scope (how many pages, features, language versions and integrations), strategy (what the site needs to achieve, and for whom), design (template or bespoke) and build (speed, security, CMS, responsiveness). Change one element — the price changes. Change them all — and you have a different product.

The cheapest website isn’t the cheapest. Usually.

That sounds like a marketing trick. But there’s real substance behind it.

A PLN 2,500 website that has to be rebuilt after six months because it doesn’t bring in enquiries, has a poor structure and looks like a template from 2018 — ends up costing more than a PLN 12,000 website done properly from the start. Add to that the time, the stress and the enquiries you never received because the site wasn’t doing its job.

A good website is an investment that pays for itself. A bad one is a cost that keeps adding up.

So before you talk about price, it’s worth answering a few questions. Who is this website for? What are they looking for? What do they need to feel and understand? What should they do next? Why should they choose your business? If you have the answers — you’re ready to talk to a designer. If not — you’ll start with colours and end with regrets.

What a quote should include to be meaningful

A quote isn’t a number. It’s a list of decisions.

Check whether it covers strategy, wireframes, bespoke design, responsiveness, build, basic SEO, form set-up, a content management system, testing and post-launch support. ‘Website — PLN 6,000’ tells you about as much as ‘dinner — well made’. Possibly true. But you’d still like to know what’s in it.

The market is large and varied. Freelancers, agencies, software houses — each has its own way of working, its own scope and its own standard of quality. There’s no single right choice. There’s the choice that fits your business’s stage, your level of ambition and what the site actually needs to achieve.

In summary

In 2026, a website costs anything from a few thousand to several tens of thousands of złoty — depending on scope, design, strategy and build. Before you ask ‘how much?’, ask ‘what for?’. The answer to the second question will make that first conversation far more productive.
